FBI Seeks Public's Help In Identifying 2 Bank Robbers
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The FBI asked for the public's help Friday in identifying two bank robbers wanted in a string of unrelated heists.
The "Valley Bandit" has been linked to five robberies in the San Fernando Valley since December 2012.
During the heists, the suspect uses a gun to threaten bank employees and witnesses.
"Witnesses have described the suspect as an Hispanic or Middle Eastern male, between 5'09" - 6' in height, 180-200 lbs. and between 25-35 years old," the FBI said.
In one robbery, he was seen fleeing in a white SUV, possibly a Mercedes Benz.
The "Foothills Bandit" has been linked to three robberies in Glendora, Los Angeles and Temple City since May.
"The suspect enters the bank and displays a device with various wires, tubes and blinking lights. The suspect has stated the device is a bomb as he demands cash," officials said.
He is described as a White male, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing approximately 155 pounds. Authorities believe he is between 23 and 30 years old.
Anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of either suspect should contact their nearest FBI office or dial 911.
