FBI On The Hunt For 'Tiger Bandit'

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The FBI is on the hunt for a bank robber they say struck at least six times in the past week.

The suspect, described as a black or Hispanic male with a dark complexion and stocky build, had previously robbed banks in Santa Monica, Huntington Beach, Marina del Rey, Long Beach, and Cerritos.

This morning, the robber dubbed "the Tiger Bandit," struck a US Bank located at 2270 Pacific Coast Highway in Lomita.

In bank surveillance photos, the suspect can be seen wearing a Detroit Tigers baseball cap.

Authorities believe "the" Tiger Bandit might also be two men working together.

Anyone with information about the "Tiger Bandit" is urged to call 1 888 CANT HIDE (1 888 226-8443) or dial 911. If you wish to remain Anonymous, call "LA Crime Stoppers" by dialing 800-222-TIPS (8477).
