Fashion Square Mall Evacuated Due To Suspicious Package
UPDATE (7:30 p.m.): Officials have given the all clear. The mall has reopened to customers. Police determined the suspicious package was not an explosive device or threat.
SHERMAN OAKS (CBS) — A portion of the Westfield Fashion Square mall in Sherman Oaks is being evacuated in response to a suspicious package found in the building.
The call came in at 3:23 p.m. about an unknown package that was found in front of a store inside the mall, Los Angeles police said.
The bomb squad has been sent to the scene.
