Fans Weigh In On Rams' Coaching Change
LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — After the L.A. Rams suffered a 42-14 loss on Sunday to Atlanta, some fans say they were relieved to hear coach Jeff fisher was fired.
"It can only go up because I feel like we're at rock bottom right now," Alan Jolivette
Special teams coordinator John Fassel was named the interim head coach. He's the son of former New York Giants coach Jim Fassel.
"I've been fortunate like I said earlier to be on the sidelines since I was five years old and witnessed the elation of the greatest games," Fassel said.
Before the Rams, Fassel held the same position with the Oakland Raiders and was the special teams coach with the Baltimore Ravens.

CBSLA's Andrea Fujii spoke with fans at Legends sports bar in Long Beach. They say the fact that Fassel is relatively unknown, that could be a good thing.
"Let's do anything opposite of what Jeff Fisher was doing and I'm not mad at Jeff Fisher but I'm just saying let's try something different," Pave' Diamond said.
Fassel's also been in the news for other reasons.
According to ESPN, last July Fassel was surfing in Manhattan Beach when he helped save a man who was drowning.
Fans say they hope Fassel will now be a live saver to the team.
"With his resume so far, a diamond in the rough, hopefully," Micah Henry said.
But some fans say they'll stick by the Rams no matter what the growing pains.
"I know they're a good team and I just root for them and wish the best," Tanaya Arteaga said.
