Family Still Looking For Answers On 5th Anniversary Of Aspiring Musician's Murder
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The family of a young man killed five years ago Saturday, is still hoping his killer will be brought to justice.
Every year on this day, the family of Kevin "Track Bully" Harris II meets near the location where the aspiring musician was gunned down.
Harris, 21, was shot multiple times around 8 p.m. and found in his dark green 1995 Camaro in the 3300 block of West 118th Street near the 105 Freeway and Crenshaw Boulevard.
He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Harris had just pulled up to an Inglewood music studio where he worked.
From the outset, detectives believed Harris was shot in a case of mistaken identity. In addition to working as a music producer, Harris was also attending college.
At the vigil Saturday evening, Harris' parents renewed their plea to their son's killers to give themselves up.
"I just want to know who did this to my son," Kathryn Harris said, "I'd just like to ask them 'What did he say?' before they did this."
