Family Desperate For Answers In Search For O.C. Woman Missing Since February
ALISO VIEJO (CBSLA.com) — The family of an Orange County woman missing since February continue to search for answers and hope a $5,000 reward will generate leads.
Erica Melissa Alonso, 27, of Laguna Hills disappeared in the early morning hours of Feb. 15 from her on-again, off-again boyfriend's home in Irvine after they had gone out with another couple.
"I'm praying every night. I ask God, 'Please, please, help me find my daughter,' " Margarita Alonso, the woman's mother, said. "I don't know what we're going to do if my daughter is not alive."
On Wednesday night, Alonso's family gathered at a park just feet from where her car was discovered in Aliso Viejo a month later in a desperate attempt to find answers. They are offering a $5,000 reward for information that would help find her.
Investigators found Alonso's purse and eyeglasses inside the vehicle and have few leads but don't believe the woman's boyfriend is a suspect.
Although the case has been classified as a suspicious missing person case, her family is convinced she was taken.
They hope the reward will encourage someone with information to come forward.
"There is not one moment of my life that I'm not thinking, 'Where is she? What is happening to her?' Somebody must know something. And we are asking: Please step forward," said Elizabeth Gomez, the woman's aunt.
