Faith Hill And Demi Lovato To Perform At 2012 People's Choice Awards

LOS ANGELES (CBS)  — Recording artists Faith Hill and Demi Lovato will perform at the 2012 People's Choice Awards, set to take place January 11 at The Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The show will air on CBS.

Faith Hill is one of music's most successful vocalists. In a career that's spanned 17 years, she's earned 13 #1 singles and 20 #1 videos and sold over 30 million records. Her mantel features five Grammys, four American Music Awards, three Country Music Association Awards and 12 Academy of Country Music Awards. "Come Home," her latest single, was released this past November.

"We are so lucky to have Faith Hill on board to perform at the People's Choice Awards," said Mark Burnett, the show's executive producer. "Her experience, mainstream appeal and status as one of the top female performers of our time make her the perfect addition to our telecast."

Hill has won four People's Choice Awards, including Favorite Female Musical Performer.

Demi Lovato, also set to perform, has released three well-received solo albums. Her latest, Unbroken, hit stores in September, and includes the single "Skyscraper," which deputed at #2 on the Billboard Hot Digital Singles chart. She's also an established TV actor, who's starred in Barney & Friends, Camp Rock and Princess Protection Program.

"Demi is a brilliant performer, a strong role model and a true fan favorite," said Burnett. "We're thrilled to have her on board for the People's Choice Awards and look forward to a truly electrifying performance."

Lovato has won three People's Choice Awards, the most recent in 2009 for Favorite Breakout Artist. She is currently nominated for Favorite Pop Artist.

The People's Choice Awards is the only major awards show for which the public picks the winners. The categories cover movies, television and music, and the nominees include a veritable who's who of pop culture. Kaley Cuoco will host this year's festivities.
