Cosmetic Surgeon Busted In LAPD Sting
Dr. Ehab Mohammed used to perform $100,000 liposuctions, but now he has been arrested on suspicion of grand theft.
He thought he was going to sell a piece of medical equipment, which he does not own to a Connecticut spa for $20,000, according to police. Instead, he was met by LAPD investigators.
The Owner of the spa helped arrange the sting and talked to KNX 1070's Investigative Reporter Charles Feldman exclusively. She said she became suspicious after seeing Feldman's reports online.
"That essentially was the main red flag in all honesty, the fact that he had been reported on numerous times by your agency led to great suspicion," she said.
The LAPD and the L.A. County District Attorney's Office are looking into possible criminal charges involving the death of one of Dr. Mohammed's patients. His medical license has been suspended.
