Emergency Room Evacuated After Roof Fire At South El Monte Hospital
SOUTH EL MONTE (CBSLA.com) — Dozens of patients Tuesday were evacuated from the emergency room of the Greater El Monte Community Hospital after the building's roof caught fire.
The small fire was reported at 4:13 a.m., the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.
It was knocked down by 4:46 a.m. after 60 patients were evacuated from the building, located at 1701 Santa Anita Ave. in South El Monte.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
