Elderly Woman Robbed Of Jewelry In Lakewood Home Invasion
LAKEWOOD (CBSLA.com) — An 81-year-old woman was the victim of a home-invasion robbery early Wednesday morning.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the elderly woman called authorities for help around 12:13 a.m. from her home in the 11500 block of 215th Street.
Two black males entered the residence and once inside, "they forced the victim to relinquish an undetermined amount of jewelry," Lt. Minh Dinh said.
No weapons were used during the robbery and the suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction, officials said.
Both men are said to be between 18 and 25 years old and 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall with thin builds.
