El Segundo-Based Defense Contractor Lands Navy Air Warfare Contract Worth $59M

EL SEGUNDO (CBSLA.com) —  A privately held defense contractor based in El Segundo has landed a Navy air warfare contract worth $59 million.

Wyle is one of three companies to win the cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a ceiling of more than $166 million, the firm announced Thursday.

Wyle and the other companies will compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the contract, worth exactly $59,038,129.

It will assist the Navy in the planning, resourcing and execution of naval aviation programs, readiness and manpower.

Wyle will support the Air Warfare Division in the areas of financial management, data collection, process research, requirements and capability development and analysis, Navy and joint service warfare requirements, program support planning, and programming and budget execution.

"Wyle is familiar with the complex challenges facing the leaders of the Air Warfare Division," Donna Lowe, a vice president in the company's Aerospace Group, said.

"Our employees have long provided valuable support services to the division and across the Naval Aviation Enterprise."

All work will be performed at the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations in the Pentagon and is expected to be ongoing through April 2016. Work will continue into April 2019 if all options on the contract are exercised.

Wyle's subcontractors include Amelex, Ausley Associates, Capitol Defense Consulting, DCS Corporation, ICI Services, ITG Global, James Rowley Associates, Lynch Consultants, RBC, Rollout Systems, and Systems Planning and Analyses.

The company provides high tech aerospace engineering and information technology services to the federal government on long-term outsourcing contracts, as well as test and evaluation of aircraft, weapon systems, networks, and other government assets and other engineering services to the aerospace, defense and nuclear power industries.
