Eastbound Lanes Of 60 Freeway In Industry To Be Closed Through Monday Morning
INDUSTRY (CBSLA.com) — The final phase of a series of closures affecting the eastbound lanes of the Pomona (60) Freeway in Industry begins tonight, potentially snarling weekend traffic for motorists in the San Gabriel Valley.
Starting at 10 p.m. Friday, two lanes of the eastbound 60 Freeway will be closed between Fullerton Road and Nogales Street. This weekend's work will be the last of four 55-hour closures.
Onramps to Hacienda Boulevard, Azusa Avenue, Fullerton Road and South Nogales Street will be closed, along with off ramps to Fullerton and Nogales.
The closures, which Caltrans has nicknamed "Summer Slam," will shut down the entire eastbound side of the freeway from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. Saturday and Monday.
The project involves resurfacing the 60 Freeway between the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway and the Orange (57) Freeway. It is scheduled for completion in late 2014.
