Early Voters Flock To Registrar's Office In Norwalk
NORWALK (CBSLA.com) — Voters are streaming into the Los Angeles County Registrar's Office in Norwalk Monday, casting their ballots before the big rush on Election Day.
Long lines over the weekend scared several people away, but they returned in droves, forming early voter lines in front of the building.
Voters who opted to cast their ballots early had a range of reasons, from work to vacation, KNX 1070's Jon Baird reports.

"Well, I'm going fishing tomorrow in the High Sierras, so I've got to do it today," one voter said. "This was a last minute decision."
About 3,500 people have cast early ballots over the weekend, thanks to the close presidential race and the gauntlet of state ballot measures.

"It is a little confusing," a voter said. "You hear the ads on TV, and the different ads, 'don't vote for this one, vote for this one.'"
Meanwhile, volunteers from the registrar's office are picking up ballots to help bedridden hospital patients vote. One of those voters getting the extra help was Sofie, who had major surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Thursday, KNX 1070's Ed Mertz reported.

"We think it's important that patients have the opportunity to cast their ballot," said Allison Rotter, who manages the effort at Cedars.
