Dwight Howard Cleared To Play After Meeting With Shoulder Specialist
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) - Lakers center Dwight Howard has been cleared to play against the Utah Jazz Friday night at Staples Center after re-aggravating his right shoulder Wednesday night against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Shoulder specialist Dr. James Tibone said there was no further damage to Howard's shoulder injury, where he originally sustained on January 4 against the Clippers.
Howard re-aggravated his torn labrum with 2:21 left in the second quarter while contesting a shot by Rudy Gay. He left the game and did not return.
Lakers, who are on a four-game losing streak, face the Utah Jazz Friday night at 7:30PM.
