Duo Of Stranded Hikers Airlifted From San Gabriel Foothills By LAFD
SYLMAR (CBSLA) — Both ground and air units from Los Angeles Fire Department were on hand in the San Gabriel foothills Tuesday to rescue a duo of stranded hikers.
Though uninjured, the rocky terrain in the May Canyon Truck Trail area left the hikers without an avenue to leave the area.
They were airlifted by an LAFD rescue helicopter and transported to a safer area nearby.
