DUI Suspect Arrested After Deadly Crash On 210 Freeway
PASADENA (CBS) — A 31-year-old Beaumont man was killed Thursday when his Honda sedan was struck and torn in half by a suspected drunken driver on the 210 Freeway.
The crash was reported just east of Lake Avenue at 12:35 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
David Peng, 24, of Arcadia, was booked on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and DUI.
Peng was driving a BMW M3 that slammed into the Honda, which had earlier crashed into the center divider "for an unknown reason," according to the CHP.
The driver of the Honda had gotten out of the disabled sedan, but was killed when the BMW slammed into his vehicle.
The victim's name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.
