Dry Ice Bomb Explodes For 2nd Time At LAX
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A dry ice bomb exploded Monday night at Los Angeles International Airport, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed.
Three plastic bottles containing dry ice were discovered around 8:30 p.m. at the Tom Bradley Terminal in an area that is not restricted to passengers. Only one of the devices had exploded, said Det. Gus Villanueva.
Airport police and a bomb squad cleared the items around 9:45 p.m.
No one was injured, and no flights have been delayed.
The FBI is investigating.
Authorities said there was no indication the incident was part of a terrorist act.
