Driver Suspected Of DUI Apprehended In Sylmar Following Brief Pursuit
SYLMAR (CBS) — A driver wanted on suspicion of driving under the influence and reckless driving has been taken into custody following a brief pursuit.
Sky9's Stu Mundel reported that the chase, which began at Van Nuys and Laurel Canyon, concluded in the Sylmar area.
The Foothill Division was reportedly in pursuit of the driver of a green, Ford F-150 pick-up truck for about 15 minutes prior to deploying a successful pit maneuver, according to Mundel.
Following that maneuver, the suspect could be seen jumping out of the vehicle and following the officers' commands.
"At one point, he was slowing down, I understand... even stopping for some red lights but then just going right through them," Mundel said.
