Report: Driver Of Dump Truck Speaks Out About Lohan Crash
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A driver of a dump truck involved in a collision with actress Lindsay Lohan's Porsche is speaking out about what happened after the accident.
The crash occurred just before noon Friday in the 1100 block of Pacific Coast Highway.
Two people in a black Porsche, including Lohan, were taken to a local hospital via ambulance with minor injuries.
The man, identified as "James," told entertainment website TMZ that Lohan was trying to leave the scene after the accident.
"I was on the phone with 911 because they was trying to leave. They were gonna get in this limo and leave. So when I started talking to him they offered me money, this here and that, but I was already on the phone. And so he was getting ready to get into the car and leave and we were arguing," he told the website.
"All this was on the 911 tape and so him and the guy took me across the street and told me this was some kind of famous person and they didn't want to be in the media," he added.
Santa Monica police say neither of the Porsche's occupants were impaired, but investigators are trying to determine who was driving at the time of the crash.
Lohan was on her way to film scenes for the Lifetime movie, "Liz and Dick," which chronicles the love affair between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, the Associated Press reported.
