5-Alarm Fire Displaces Dozens In San Bernardino

SAN BERNARDINO (CBS2) — A 5-alarm fire at an apartment complex in San Bernardino has displaced approximately 100 people, according to firefighters.

The blaze broke out in the rear structure of three large buildings on 415 South Mount Vernon Avenue at 4:48 a.m. Sunday.

 

According to officials, 26 of 30 units suffered damage.

An evacuation center for displaced families has been set up at Richardson Preparatory High Middle School on Mill and K Street.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
