Door-To-Door Magazine Salesman Gets Prison For Sexual Assault
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A man who was selling magazine subscriptions door-to-door in Winnetka when he forced his way into a woman's home and sexually assaulted her was sentenced on Tuesday to over 45 years to life in state prison.
Van Nuys Superior Court Judge Barry Taylor imposed the term on Gerald Vidal, 25, who was convicted Feb. 28 of charges including first-degree burglary, forced oral copulation, sexual penetration by a foreign object and kidnapping.
Vidal was working with a group of door-to-door magazine salespeople who were staying at a Woodland Hills motel, where he was arrested shortly after the Dec. 17, 2009, attack.
