Donkey Killed, Motorcyclist Injured In Colton Crash
COLTON (AP) — A donkey was killed and a motorcyclist broke his arm in a collision after dark on a road in San Bernardino County.
California Highway Patrol Officer Travis Monks says the 35-year-old man was riding with a passenger at about 60 mph on Monday night when he ran into the donkey that was crossing a canyon road in Colton.
Monks says that despite being thrown from the bike, the rider had minor injuries and the passenger was not hurt, but the donkey died at the scene.
The Sun newspaper reports the rider was treated for a broken arm and the donkey remained by the side of the road on Tuesday morning.
