Dog Who Survived 110-Mile Ride In Truck's Engine Compartment Up For Adoption
SAN CLEMENTE (CBSLA.com) — The 25-pound dog who survived a 110-mile journey from Chino to Camp Pendleton in the engine compartment of a truck will have the pick of the litter when it comes to his new owner.
The Keeshond-Tibetan spaniel mix nicknamed Chevy is now available for adoption from the San Clemente-Dana Point Animal Shelter.
Chevy was found Oct. 1 when building-restoration supervisor Jaime Magana detected movement in his engine.
The shelter says they've received several applications for Chevy, and a committee will choose the best application. Magana has also expressed interest in adopting the stowaway dog.
