Dodgers Unload For 15 Runs, 25 Hits In Shutout Against Twins
(CBS) -- Every Dodger in the starting lineup recorded a hit, scored a run and recorded an RBI for the first time in Los Angeles Dodgers history in a 15-0 victory over the Minnesota Twins.
Triple-Crown threat Matt Kemp was one of three Dodgers to collect four hits, including his NL-leading 22nd homer of the season and the Dodgers scored in 7 of the 9 innings on Monday night.
Tony Gwynn Jr. stayed red hot, going 4-6 and stealing 2 bases, he now has 7 hits in the last two games and rookie Trent Oelltjen slugged his first career homer, going 4-4 against the team that originally drafted him.
It was easily the Dodgers' biggest offensive outburst of the season, they collected 24 hits in their inaugural game at Target Field in Minneapolis.
Chad Billingsley (7-6) pitched six scoreless innings, picking up his 7th win of the season, while Nick Blackburn (6-6) was tagged for 7 runs and 12 hits in 4.1 IP for the Twins.
