Dodgers To Host Free Viewing Party At Stadium
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Dodgers open the season on the road in San Diego, but the team is inviting its fans to watch Thursday's game for free at Dodger Stadium.
In a rare move, the team is throwing open the gates to the stadium for viewing of the game in San Diego. Parking is free, while concessions will cost $4 or less and merchandise is being discounted by 15 percent. Former Dodger great Ron Cey will sign autographs.
The Dodgers play their home opener on April 10.
Last season, the Dodgers fell short of 3 million in attendance for the first time in a non-strike year since 1992. They had just three sellouts at the 56,000-seat stadium that turns 50 this year.
