Dodgers Send Julio Urias Back To Triple-A After Spot Start

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — After making his major league debut on Friday, Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias is headed back to Triple-A.

The 19-year-old went 2.2 innings, throwing 81 pitches against the Mets on Friday.

"I'm not going to lie, when I went out there, I started thinking everything I've had to go through to get here. But when I was on the mound, I was able to settle down. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get the results we wanted," Urias said in his postgame presser.

The Dodgers sent the left-hander back to Triple-A , and brought up reliever Casey Fien, who was recently claimed off of waivers from the Minnesota Twins.

Fien appeared in 14 games for the Twins this season, striking out 12 and walking three in 13.2 innings pitched.

Manager Dave Roberts told reporters he would bring back Urias when it made sense, and that he is not worried about Urias' confidence.

The Dodgers designated outfielder James Ramsey for assignment as a corresponding roster move.
