LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Dodgers have recalled catcher Tim Federowicz from Triple-A Albuquerque and optioned shortstop Justin Sellers.
Federowicz, who was just recently named the Pacific League Player of the Week was batting .571 with three home runs, three doubles, and a triple with six RBI since April 29.
The catcher, acquired by the Dodgers two years ago in a deal that sent prospect Trayvon Robinson to Seattle, has hit a total of seven home runs and 20 RBI in just 13 games with the Isotopes this season.
Federowicz is currently in his third season with the Dodgers, and has appeared in three major league games this season, in which he has batted 0-for-5 with a walk.
Sellers was batting .191 with one home run, a double, and two RBI through 26 games with the club this year.
