Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts Officially Names Team's Fifth Starter
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has named Ross Stripling as the teams fifth starter.
Roberts was reportedly mulling between Stripling and Carlos Frias.
"Where we are as far as the state of our rotation, it's more of a necessity for him to start the season with us," Roberts told Bill Shaikin.

Stripling starts Friday in San Francisco. Roberts says, "this is what we see in the near term as far as Ross taking the ball every 5th day."

In Spring Training, Stripling is 1-1 in 11.0 innings pitched. He has 5 earned runs, a 4,09 ERA, and 11 strikeouts.
