Dodgers Call Up Prospect Jerry Sands To Play LF
(CBS) -- The Los Angeles Dodgers have purchased the contract of Jerry Sands from AAA Albuquerque and designated Xavier Paul for assignment.
Sands is in the lineup tonight against Atlanta and batting 7th.
The 23-year-old has 5 HRs in 40 ABs this season with a .400 average with the Isotopes.
In 2010, he hit 35 HRs.
