Disneyland Cracks Down On FastPass Abusers
ANAHEIM (CBS) — Disneyland is cracking down on park goers abusing their FastPass system.
The system was introduced in 1999 to help visitors to the Magic Kingdom spend less time in line. Free reservation tickets are issued at the beginning of the line of their most popular attractions, with a specified one-hour window during which patrons can get in with little to no wait.
However, some Disney visitors have realized that they can still get into the shorter line after that one-hour window expires.
USA Today reports that Disney employees are cracking down on the practice.
A Disney spokesman says the new enforcement is intended to make things fair for all park visitors. They also say if circumstances keep guests from returning during the allotted hour, Disney employees will deal with that on a case-by-case basis.
