Dine On A Dime: 8 1/2 Taverna

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — If beer and wine are your passion, a new Studio City Gastropub with an Italian flare is the place to be.

8 1/2 Taverna, 11334 Moorpark Street, features authentic Italian cuisine like meatball sandwiches and homemade pizzas.

"We like the fact we can do some fusion....we also like to play a lot with food," said Fabrizio Di Giannni of 8 1/2 Taverna.

The Gastropub's recipes have been in the owner's family for generations and are paired perfectly with wine and beer from around the world.

Other customer favorites featured on an ever-changing "Specials" board include tuna bites, sliders and fresh mozzarella sun dried tomatoes and pesto aoli.
