Die-Hard Fans Can Get Their Hands On Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte Early With Secret Pass
(CBSLA.com) — If you're counting down the days until Starbucks releases their pumpkin spice latte, then you're in luck.
The company is offering fans the drink days before the tasty drink comes back to stores on Sept. 8.
Visit TheRealPSL.tumblr.com/fanpass, type in the password "pumpkin," enter your cell phone number and you'll be texted a secret fan pass that you can show to any Starbucks barista.
Starbucks recently announced that their beloved PSL would now be made with actual pumpkin and they're ditching the caramel coloring.
Peter Dukes, director of espresso and brewed coffee for Starbucks, said on a company blog: "After hearing from customers and partners about ingredients, we took another look at this beverage and why we created it so many years ago. It was simple — espresso, perfectly steamed milk, warm fall spices with delicious flavor of pumpkin pie that reminds you of the cool, crisp days of autumn. It's the Pumpkin Spice Latte our customers have loved all along."
The new PSL is made with:
- espresso
- milk
- pumpkin spice flavored sauce (sugar, condensed skim milk, pumpkin puree, contains 2% or less of fruit and vegetable juice for color, natural flavors, Annatto (color), potassium sorbate (preservative), salt)
- whipped cream (light whipping cream [cream, mono- and diglycerides, carrageenan])
- Starbucks vanilla syrup (sugar, water, natural flavors, potassium sorbate (preservative), citric acid)
- pumpkin spice topping (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, clove)
