Detectives Probe Shooting Death Of Man Found In Crashed Car
LAWNDALE (CBSLA.com) — Homicide detectives were investigating the shooting death of a man whose body was found inside a crashed car in Lawndale.
Deputies responded to a shots fired call around 5:40 a.m. Saturday in the 4000 block of 159th Street, said Deputy Irys Alvarez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Upon arrival, deputies found a vehicle -- engine still running -- crashed into a building.
An adult male was found with a single gunshot wound to the upper torso, said Alvarez.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
