Deputies Seize $1M Worth Of Marijuana From Illegal Grow In Lancaster
LANCASTER (CBS) — Authorities seized more than $1 million in marijuana plants from a sophisticated illegal growing operation in the Antelope Valley.
A warehouse in the 42000 block of 6th Street West was raided Monday after Los authorities noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from it. Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies seized 600 pot plants and growing equipment.
"Its thousands of dollars of growing equipment. High intesity lights, growing lights, ventilation system, fertilizer . . . ," said Deputy Michael Rust.
Nazar Dani-Yelyan, 43, was arrested and charged with cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana for sale. He is being held on $100,000 bail.
