Deputies Search For 3 Suspects In Connection With Duarte Home Invasion, Attempted Carjacking
DUARTE (CBSLA.com) — Sheriff's detectives were searching Saturday for three men who assaulted two people in an attempted home invasion robbery and carjacking Friday in Duarte, authorities said.
The robbery attempt was reported at 12:55 p.m. Friday, in the 2100 block of Rim Road, said Deputy Lisa Jansen of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.
Deputies said at least two suspects attacked a man outside of his home, then the rang the doorbell and attacked his wife, who was inside.
Two of the suspects fled in a silver Range Rover, authorities said. The third suspect tried to carjack a vehicle at the scene, but failed to do so and then fled.
Descriptions of the suspects were not immediately available, Jansen said.
The victims were taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
