Deputies Arrest 21-Year-Old San Bernardino Man For Allegedly Having Sex, Child With 16-Year-Old
SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Deputies in San Bernardino have announced the arrest of a 21-year-old man they said had unlawful intercourse with a 16-year-old minor.
Further, during an investigation, officials determined the suspect -- identified as 21-year-old Manuel Niebla -- also fathered a child with the underage girl.
Deputies responded to the 2300 block of Portola Street regarding a call about a major disturbance -- possibly involving a gun -- around 3:45 a.m. Saturday.
Officials said the disturbance was a fight involving two males. Authorities said during the course of their investigation, Niebla was found to have a 1-year-old child with a 16-year-old girl at the location.
Deputies Sanchez, Tabor and Rappisi gathered statements from relatives and residents that alleged Niebla has been having sexual intercourse with the victim for over two years.
Niebla was booked into West Valley Detention Center for sex with a minor.
