Engine Fire Prompts LA-Bound Delta Flight To Make Emergency Landing
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A Delta flight bound for Los Angeles International Airport made an emergency landing Monday night after the plane's engine caught fire.
Flight 1323 left Atlanta at 8:51 p.m. PST. Soon after, the Boeing 757 experienced engine problems and had to be turned around.
Several people on board suffered minor injuries while exiting the plane on the evacuation slides, according to a Delta spokesperson.
Passengers have been given the option of either spending the night in a hotel or getting on another flight
Officials were investigating the cause of the fire.
