Lawyers Make Final Arguments In Smith Drug Case
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Lawyers for two doctors charged with conspiring to illegally provide prescription drugs to Anna Nicole Smith are telling a jury their clients did nothing wrong and were only trying to help the former Playboy model get through a very painful time in her life.
Attorney Brad Brunon is defending Dr. Krhistine Eroshevich. His colleague Ellyn Garafolo represents Dr. Sandeep Kapoor. They spoke to the jury during separate closing arguments Wednesday.
Eroshevich and Kapoor are on trial with Smith's boyfriend and lawyer, Howard K. Stern.
Stern's attorney was expected to make his closing argument later in the day.
