Death Of 20-Month-Old Boy In Baldwin Park Under Investigation
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities were investigating the death of a 20-month-old boy in Baldwin Park, officials said Wednesday.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's homicide detectives were assisting Baldwin Park Police Department personnel in the investigation along the 3700 block of Downing Avenue.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead sometime after 1:30 p.m., according to Sheriff's investigators.
KCAL9's Amy Johnson spoke to neighbors who said the boy's parents always seemed to dote on the child. Neighbors described the child -- whom they know as Joshua -- as "happy and healthy."
Police also told her the parents were "cooperative" in the investigation. Detective Ed Brown with the LA County Sheriff's Department described the home "as tidy and clean."
