Deadly Shooting Investigation Underway In MacArthur Park
MACARTHUR PARK (CBSLA.com) — Police investigated the shooting death of a man on Thursday in MacArthur Park.
The incident unfolded shortly after 5 a.m., located in the area of 6th Street and Lafayette Park Place, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers were sent to investigate reports of shots fired in the area.
Upon their arrival, authorities located a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the back of his head.
Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.
According to witnesses, a suspect was seen running from the area following the shooting.
