Davy Jones Of 'The Monkees' Dies At 66
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Davy Jones, the former lead singer of The Monkees, died Wednesday morning at the age of 66.
The medical examiner's office in Martin, Fla., confirms that it was notified about Jones' death and is currently evaluating whether it will take jurisdiction, according to ET.
Jones joined Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork to form The Monkees in 1965. The group had several hit songs including, "Daydream Believer".
TMZ reports Jones died of a heart attack.
