Dancing Man Takes Anti-Bullying Pitch (Literally) To Dodgers Stadium

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com)   —  Three months ago he was bullied and on this day he was on top of the hill.

Well, not a hill as much as it was a pitcher's mound.

Sean O'Brien, aka The Dancing Man, honored last even in a huge Hollywood party got to throw out the first pitch Sunday in the Dodgers game against division rivals, the San Diego Padres.

London native Sean O'Brien is now a bonafide celebrity in Los Angeles.

Before and after throwing out the first pitch he posed with fans and Dodger players.

"It's unbelievable, totally unbelievable," O'Brien remarked about his sudden turn of fame.

Three months ago he was fat shamed. Today, he's living large.

How many people get introduced on the Dodgers' PA system!

"Sean O'Brien gained worldwide internet fame as dancing man...!"

He never threw a baseball in his life before Sunday but said playing catch with the Dodgers would have been a dream only a few days ago, let alone three months ago. And he admitted to being a bit nervous.

"I'm petrified, absolutely petrified. I'm petrified doing all this. This is not a natural thing but it's the best thing," he smiled.

The anti-bullying organizers of the dance party plan to take their pitch to other places, dancing included.

"We're going to be expanding it to more dance related activities going toward anti bullying and making sure that everyone feels comfortable in their own skin and to make being nice cool again and to basically stomp out bullies," said Elyse Berger, one of the organizers.

And with his successful first pitch today, O'Brien had a message for Los Angeles.

"Tjank you for hosting me, thanks for inviting me, thanks for making me welcome, and thanks for raising such beautiful people," he said.
