CSUN Students, Staff Advised To Dress Warmly After Campus Heating Partially Fails
NORTHRIDGE (CBSLA.com) — Cal State University Northridge students, staff and faculty were advised to dress warmly Monday after a leak left several campus buildings without heat.
CSUN posted about the problem on Facebook Monday morning after overnight temperatures dipped into the 30s. Highs Monday were expected to reach around 57 degrees on campus.
"The campus has experienced leaks in the main heating hot water piping loop that serves all major campus buildings," university officials posted on Facebook.
As a result, University Hall, Sierra Hall, Sierra Tower, Sierra Center, Jerome Richfield Hall and Manzanita Hall were all left in the cold.
All other campus buildings were unaffected and were functioning normally, officials said.
"We do not anticipate heating to the aforementioned buildings to be restored until late in the day on Monday 12/9. Faculty, staff and students are advised to dress warmly," CSUN said.
