CSUN Power Outage Linked To Electrical Vault Explosion
NORTHRIDGE (CBSLA.com ) — Crews were responding Friday to an electrical vault explosion that is believed to have caused a power outage at Cal State Northridge, officials said.
One person was reported injured when the steel vault cover fell onto a car at the intersection of Nordhoff Street and Reseda Boulevard, according to an LADWP spokesperson.
Several cars were involved in a crash related to the explosion, said officials.
Power was restored to the CSUN campus shortly after 3 p.m., according to officials.
The cause of the explosion was not immediately known.
