Crews Work To Contain Fuel Spill In Huntington Harbour
HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBS) — Hazmat crews worked to contain a fuel spill near Peter's Landing Marina in the Huntington Harbour area.
The spill, which is estimated to be roughly the size of a football field, is near several boats and waterfront homes.
The Coast Guard and officials from the Department of Fish and Game are working to contain what they believe is a diesel fuel spill.
Fire and wildlife officials say the oil will evaporate with the heat from the sun.
It was unclear how many gallons of fuel have spilled.
