Crews Work To Clean Up WeHo Streets After Halloween Carnaval
WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — Street crews were working to clean up trash-filled streets Tuesday morning after the city's famous Halloween Costume Carnaval.
More than 250,000 revelers packed the streets for the event, which takes place on Santa Monica Boulevard between Doheny Drive and La Cienega Boulevard.
Sheriff's deputies say that as usual, it was a well-controlled, adults-only crowd. Roughly 250 officers were on scene, but only a handful of alcohol-related arrests were made.
"There were a lot of intoxicated people," partygoer Nate Hanager told CBS2's Kara Finnstrom. "It was hard to take even one full step in one direction."
Crews worked to clear all surround streets of trash before Tuesday's morning commute.
