Crews Quickly Knock Down 2-Acre Grass Fire In Highland Park
HIGHLAND PARK (CBSLA.com) — Crews quickly contained a two-acre grass fire in Highland Park Sunday afternoon.
Flames were reported at 2:22 p.m. in Ernest E. Debs Regional Park, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters knocked down the blaze in around 40 minutes and then worked to put out hot spots.
Helicopters and water tankers were also called in.
The grasslands in the park, east of the Route 110 Arroyo Seco Parkway, are known to burn nearly every summer.
