Crews Put Out Blaze At Mobile Home In Huntington Beach
HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBS) — Authorities were investigating the circumstances surrounding a fire that broke out at a mobile home in Huntington Beach.
The blaze broke out at unit #37 in the 20700 block of Beach Boulevard about 5:59 a.m. Saturday.
According to a news release issued by the Huntington Fire Department, it took fire crews 27 minutes to extinguish the fire, which apparently spread into some concealed spaces.
Damage to the mobile home and its contents was estimated at $135,000, according to authorities.
The residents, identified as Arnold and Marlene Steele and their son, Nathan, were not injured.
They have previously survived a hurricane in Sarasota and riots in South Africa, the news release stated.
