The six-alarm blaze broke out in a pallet yard near the 10 Freeway around 6 p.m. Saturday.
According to authorities, 200 firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
The flames were fueled by hundreds of wooden pallets that were stacked three stories high, along with tires from a nearby semi-truck fire company.
Diesel tanks at the site exploded.
The owner of the family-owned pallet business was too distraught to talk on camera, but a friend said, "I'm still in disbelief. I'm still trying to process this. It's hard, it's hard work, it's all their efforts and their dreams and I know how hard they have tried."
Authorities say three structures were destroyed and a fourth caught fire but was saved.
Investigators at the scene are still trying to determine a cause of the fire.
