Crews Battle Brush Fire In Claremont
CLAREMONT (CBSLA.com) — A brush fire grew to 17 acres Wednesday afternoon in Claremont.
Los Angeles County fire crews arrived near Foothill Boulevard and Dartmouth Avenue around 3:30 p.m. to find the blaze burning heavily in vegetation.
The fire went to a second alarm, which prompted additional crews to join the effort.
Some homes were initially threatened on Mills Avenue, but firefighters were able to gain the upper hand.
Super Scooper aircraft were on the scene, along with three water-dropping helicopters.
There have been no reports of any injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
